best way to get racket speed with a eastern is getting the ball on the low bounce. i had to switch from a eastern to western because the kids in miami kick the ball to much

yeah this is 1970s sea stroke...and if these old timers had it their way everyone would be hitting the exact same way...my tennis coach is one of these guys....he doesn't know the meaning of hitting a ball flat. it's all topspin even at the most difficult of times, like a mad scramble at the net or a high looping forehand near the service line that could be crushed flat. If my tennis coach had it his way everyone would be hitting with the same racquets, the same clothes, with the same strokes.

I always thought semi / western was the better grip because of the margin for error. I used semi but found i could generate a helluva of spin from reverse forehand ala Nadal using eastern , I dont even know how the hell youd get power of western using western like Nadal does..
