That's right. I remember seeing an old clip of it; it's a sketch of one upman (or downmanship?) that's stood the test of time.

From left to right : Michael Palin (a Yorkshireman in real life), Eric Idle, Graham Chapman (deceased,sadly) and Terry Jones. There's another version of this on YouTube with John Cleese, Marty Feldman and Tim Brooke-Taylor among the actors. I don't know who actually wrote this sketch but I don't think it's the exclusive brainchild of Monty Python. I think it's unofficially regarded as 'the common property of comedy' - which is a good thing in my view.
